Hi, I’m Melany Macías, an AI developer, researcher, and problem-solver based in Helsinki, Finland.

My Journey

My journey into technology began with a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. During my studies, I delved into fields like Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and IoT, with a focus on how technology can solve real-world problems and transform industries.

My thesis, «Finetuning and Improving Prediction Results of LLMs Using Synthetic Data», received top marks and resulted in peer-reviewed international publications. I also contributed to open-source NLP tools and fine-tuned models on Hugging Face, which have been downloaded and used globally.

As I prepare to pursue a Master’s in AI and Data Science, I’m excited to take on new challenges, particularly in Machine Learning Engineering, where I can continue to create impactful AI solutions. Whether it’s automating processes or designing tools to help people learn, I am passionate about using AI to enhance everyday life.
